So awesome!! I loved Card's Ender books and am a big fan of books that play with fairy tales, and this was a perfect combination of the two. Card tells the tale of old magic lore so skillfully that you completely forget that he's talking about time travel and Baba Yaga... totally plausible, and moving between the real present world and the magical past world isn't awkward at all. The characters (and their development) are very real. I'd recommend this for a fun, fast read, but with guaranteed good writing, and, hey, you actually end up learning something about Russian folklore along the way... Definitely made me interested in reading more of Baba Yaga -related stories (had only ever read Vasilissa the Beautiful before).
